Help!
This site is pretty large, and sometimes I find it difficult to work on it all by my lonesome. If you're interested in giving me a hand in maintaining this site, I'd really appreciate it! Below are some of the things I always could use help with.
· Typos/Text Errors
I really do make an effort to double check my spelling, grammar, etc. before publishing a new section. Unfortunately, some errors can go unnoticed for quite a while. I find it really embarrassing when I discover a mistake weeks or months after publishing a section. So if you ever find a mistake, even if its very minor (I'm kind of obsessive about this), please let me know!
· Broken Links/Form Errors
Again, I try to check these things before I publish them, and on a regular basis to make sure everything on the site runs smoothly. Sometimes, I miss something, or don't notice a broken link. If you happen to click on a broken link (even to sites linked in the "Links" section), please let me know so I can fix it! Same goes for the email forms. If you submit something using one of the forms on the site, and it gives you an error, let me know. I want to correct these issues immediately.
· Layout Issues
I use Firefox to create my layouts. Although I try to use very basic coding so the site is viewable in a variety of browsers, sometimes...they don't. If something looks weird in one of the layouts, making the site unreadable, please tell me! I'd like to make this site viewable for as many people as possible.
· Photo Duplicates
As the photo gallery gets larger, I'm finding it more and more difficult to keep track of what images are already in there. If you find that there are duplicate images in the gallery, LET ME KNOW. I don't want to waste your time and my space with duplicate photos. If you discover this, email me with both photo numbers (you can find these by clicking on the image, and checking the URL of the full image -- http://fab.cryforashadow.com/album/john/999.png) and the name of the gallery they're in (i.e. "John" or "The Beatles Volume Two").
· Vote!
My site is listed in The Beatles Top 100. I'd really appreciate it if you could vote for my site every once in a while (the link is in the sidebar). The list resets every ten days, which means I get knocked down to the bottom every ten days, regardless of how high up on the list I was. The higher up on the list I am, the more people are able to check out my site. More visitors = happy Beth. I like people checking the site out!
· Graphics
I have to admit, I hate making graphics. I'm not very artistic, and I get annoyed with myself and my graphics program very easily. So if you have some extra time, hate the way my graphics look, or just love doing nice things for other people, I'm always happy to receive donations. Whether you want to make title graphics for a layout, "link me" banners, or just a fansign (that would make my life complete! Seriously!), I would love you forever for sharing. (Note: I'm not accepting submissions of LJ icons or lolbeatles at this time. I'm selfish like that.)
· Fanfiction
I love fanfiction! For a short while, I had a section for fanfiction I liked, but there were only two listed! I felt like that wasn't enough, and took the section down until I came across more awesome stories. So if you have a fanfiction and want me to post a link to it, email me the URL. I'd love to be able to expand the section and put it back up.
· Content Ideas
If there's something you'd really like me to add to CFAS, or if you have a great new idea and don't have a site of your own, let me know! I'm always open to content suggestions and ideas, and I want to make as many people as possible happy with this site. So if you think I need more of this, or more of that, TELL ME! I will take it into consideration, and very likely try to get that type of content up for you. But I can't do it unless you tell me what you'd like to see.
