Cry For A Shadow is a Beatles fansite created by
one person. My intent is to entertain and share my thoughts and opinions on The Beatles. I'm not trying to please everyone, so if you're offended by my jokes and silliness, deal with it and move on. I don't care if you think I'm wrong (I'm not) or I'm stupid (I'm not). If you can't stop looking at something you don't like, you're the one with the problems, not me.
I really believe this is the best Beatles fansite online at the moment. I've clicked through hundreds of fansites, and anything as good as mine hasn't been updated in months (or years!), and any sites I can think of that were superior to mine no longer exist (Restless Wind, come back to me!). There are other sites that are good, there are even other sites that I really enjoy visiting, but those sites never seem to get updated. Or they're on crappy free servers where I have to deal with pop-ups every three seconds. Or they're missing something vital that I wish they had. My site has everything (or will do), it's updated regularly, and I truly love working on it. If you can't appreciate that, then wtf is wrong with you? Seriously.
I've applied for some awards, and won them, so I figure now's as good a time as any to display them. Shazam!
This site (or this version, as I had it years ago when everyone had a fansite, then sort of deleted it for a few years...) basically exists because I was dying to see a great Beatles site online, and couldn't seem to find any that suited my tastes exactly. I created CFAS to appeal to others, like me, who like a wide variety of content -- photos, interactive, fangirly stuff, information, fanfiction -- written by someone who doesn't take their fandom too seriously and has a good time with it. I'm sorry if that's not your thing, but it's what I like.
Although, as I said, I create content based on what I want to see put online, I'm always open for suggestions. Ask my homegirls in the
